WHEREAS, the recent murder of Charlie Kirk and subsequent celebration by leftists demonstrated that the mainstream left harbors a violent hatred of even the moderate right; and
WHEREAS, multiple Republican group chats were recently leaked to Politico, a left-leaning outlet, by other Republicans engaged in petty infighting; and
WHEREAS, the leadership of the Young Republican National Federation eagerly pounced on Politico’s story as an opportunity to embarrass their rivals, even to the detriment of their own organization; and
WHEREAS, the media circus resulting from such leaks not only harms their targets, but also the Trump administration, its agenda, and ultimately the Republican Party as a whole.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Young Republicans of Texas condemn all who collaborate with the left to attack others on the right; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Young Republicans of Texas affirm that a free exchange of ideas is essential and calls for an end to cancel culture on the right; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Young Republicans of Texas reject the practice of performative disavowals and denunciations to appease leftists and foreign agents, whose attacks are always in bad faith.
